We are a small
village church serving our local community in Hook Norton, Oxfordshire.
Our regular weekly activities include Housegroup, Outreach, Coffee Morning, Parent
& Toddler Group, Sunday School and Prayer meetings. Sunday worship
is aided by a lively band of musicians who lead us in contemporary
Christian songs as well as old favourites. Our pastor is Rev. John Paul
Taylor. We are involved with
a number of activities and organisations that strengthen the local community,
including Care Group for older people, children’s and youth activities. We also work closely with St Peter’s
church on a number of activities, such as JAM Club at the village
primary School, and an annual Lent series of teaching and learning. We are affiliated to the Cornerstone group of Baptist fellowships in the north Cotswolds, and are
a member church of the Baptist Union of
Solar PV Panels Thanks to a favourable loan
from Hook Norton Low Carbon we’ve now
installed solar panels on our south facing roof. This is a view of our building that not
many people see (for reasons explained here).
We are now able to take
advantage of the Government’s feed-in tariff arrangements to receive income
for the electricity we generate.
During the recent sunny weather we’ve been able to produce about 12
units per day. |
“I am convinced that
neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor
the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in
all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ
Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38,39 (NIV) ------- Christian ministry website from Scripture
